Healthy and sustainable winemaking
Herdade do Cebolal is a family project that was founded by Caio de Loureiro at the end of the 19th century. Nowadays the farm is managed by the 4th and 5th generations of the same family.
Herdade do Cebolal is located between Santiago do Cacém and Cercal mountains, on the Alentejo Coast, 10 km away from the Atlantic Ocean. Since 2012 they have developed an ecological philosophy of landscape and systems, rehabilitating and regenerating naturally degraded areas, transforming them into productive, sustainable
ecosystems with ecological and landscape value.
The work in the cellar is done from a traditional perspective, respecting the natural vinification process. All the wines are made with natural yeasts, respecting the Terroir of each variety and expressing the full potential of the region.
