Casa de Mouraz – Encruzado

Casa de Mouraz Encruzado is an award-winning organic wine from a highly regarded producer. The excellence of the Encruzado grape variety, the noblest white variety of the Dão.
In a glass
Mineral and floral, fresh and structured, pure and deep. Hints of peach, lime and orange blossom. Large presence on the mouth, perfect balance, with impressive purity of fruit, full of flavour, freshness and a crisp citrus acidity. Straight to the table, but also to keep some bottles in the cellar because we can also expect surprises after a few years!
Food pairing
Perfect match with soft cheese, pasta and other Italian food. It goes quite well with fatty fish such as codfish, salmon or tuna. Served at 12 – 14°C.
At the vineyard
Produced with the noblest white grape of the Dão region, called Encruzado, cultivated ecologically with complete respect for the terroir. After a strict selection in the vineyards, the grapes were transported in small boxes to the winery.
In the winery
After the crushing of whole grapes, it decanted for 24 hours. Natural fermentation occurred in stainless steel vats for almost 2 months with fine lees and gentle battonage (stirring).

Casa de Mouraz was created by António Ribeiro and Sara Dionísio, who left their jobs in Lisbon and immersed themselves in what has become a family adventure, a version of sustainable viticulture and authentic winemaking.
