Espera – Palheto

This wine expresses the typical freshness and minerality of the region, being a historical recreation of wines from medieval times. Both red and white grapes are fermented together to make a one-of-a-kind wine. Totally glou-glou! Just 1300 numbered bottles made.
In a glass
Beautiful light ruby colour, mineral character, cherry, pear, floral and spicy hints. Elegant, intense and fresh on the palate, with a pleasant finish. Served chilled, at around 13°C.
At the vineyard
Fine selection of the best white Vital, Fernão Pires, Arinto and Bical grapes, and red Touriga Nacional grapes. Early hand harvest at first week September to 15kg cases.
In the winery
All white varieties are fermented with skins, joining Touriga Nacional pressed bunches two days after the fermentation begins. Natural fermentation in old French oak barrels and stainless steel vats.
